Hello! My name is Emma McDonald. I'm an animal lover and pet owner. I aspire to go to Michigan State University and become a veterinarian. To make that happen, I decided to start up my own animal care business in hopes of my FFA state degree. I'm comfortable caring for all sorts of pets, including cats, dogs, ferrets, reptiles, aquatic animals, and birds. I have extensive experience walking, grooming, feeding, playing with, and caring for pets. I am involved in the OSTC Agriscience Program for veterinary science. There I have gained experience in grooming, animal care & handling, and animal safety. All around I love animals and the joy they bring to the world. I vow to treat your pet like my own, because at the end of the day they are family.
Luka is a 7-year-old mixed-breed lab and loves snuggles and protecting her yard from danger (squirrels and rabbits).
Ahsoka is my pride and joy. She is two years old. I raised her from a kitten, and she is my trained emotional support animal. Luna is a year younger than Ahsoka, and she is huge.
Rey was a rescue. She was part of an animal hoarding situation and was severely overweight when I met her. Immediatly I fell in love with her sweet smile and decided to bring her home as my own. She is now very healthy and happy.
During my time at OSTC-NW, I quickly discovered the Future Farmers of America organization. This is a club for students in agricultural education. After learning more about FFA in class, I soon wanted to have a role as an officer in my FFA chapter. I applied and became my chapter's vice president in my first year in the program. I helped my fellow officers run meetings, events, and much more. As vice president, I gained a lot of leadership experience, and this drove me to learn more about the opportunities the Michigan FFA has to offer. With my teacher and peers' help, I learned about the supervised agricultural experience (SAE) and the state degree. Immediately I wanted to start this project. I started around November of 2025 getting my business put together. I decided on choosing the agricultural business and entrepreneurship pathway. There, I decided on what I wanted for my business. That's when I realized something key to this goal of mine. I LOVE animals. At that exact moment I decided my business would be an animal care service that I will provide to my local community. Now, almost a year later, my business has been slow. I am taking a turn and will put forward my hardest efforts to make this SAE become successful, while also learning the skills to be a student entrepreneur and provide the best service to my clients and community.
